Welcome

Welcome to my personal blog. I use this space as a centre point for my digital platforms. These include my social media pages, my work, reflections and portfolio from my journalism and media studies. 

I am a media and development specialist who has most notably worked as a radio producer on the Breakfast and Afternoon Drive Shows on 702 and CapeTalk, leading talk radio stations in South Africa. I also have experience in using digital media to expand content told on the radio. I have thus also developed as an experienced digital producer with a keen interest in developing and implementing media strategy. 

My interests primarily revolve on the idea of bridging the communication gap that exists between citizens and those who hold power. This interest has developed over time from my experience of living and working in unequal spaces in the Eastern Cape, Western Cape and Gauteng provinces of South Africa. This interest has seen me deepen my understanding of development by completing a Masters in Development Studies at the renowned Institute of Development Studies (IDS) at the University of Sussex. 

My goal is to assist communities and organisations to express their message more effectively and to contribute in bridging the communication gap between citizens and those who hold power.
